1952 - Helsinki

Introduction
Olympics Helskini was full of new achievements with Israel and the Soviet Union competing for the first time, and the only triple gold medal for running in Olympic history being awarded to a Czech runner called Emil Zátopek.

Albert Webster came late to athletics at the age of 24. After breaking his arm playing rugby he took up running to keep fit, but soon found he could run a half-mile faster than almost everyone!
