1976 - Montreal

Introduction
Olympics Montreal saw an African boycott, the first hosting of women's events in basketball, rowing and team handball, and the first Games that a perfect 10.0 score was awarded! It was given to a fourteen year old Romanian gymnast who competed on the uneven bars.
Paralympics
Toronto hosted the first Paralympic Games to be televised, and with over 1500 athletes and more categories being included, an international body to organize these Games was talked about for the first time.

Peter talks about the history of race walking, being nearly sick competing infront of an 80,000 strong crowd, and how the tragic Israeli hostage incident introduced tight security at the Olympics for the first time.
1976 Peter reflects on marching to Parliament to stop the removal of the 50km walk from the Games, the unfortunate wide use of drugs, and how the sport has changed over the years.
